No Islamic terrorists?

A Bangladeshi view of terrorism:

German police have arrested 22 people from five German states. Five of the arrested persons are women. Seven hundred policemen have stormed 57 apartments in five German states and arrested the people. Some of the arrested persons are German citizens and some others are citizens of different Arab states. The allegation against them is that they are Muslim extremists and the German authority suspects that these people help the terrorists who have concentrated in these states.

The militants have a political cause, no matter they are Christians, Jews or Muslims. So be fair and call them militants or terrorists without attaching religious colour to them. It has become a fashion in some Western countries to blame Islam for all kinds of terrorism. The Muslim countries do not call Hitler a Christian Hitler and condemn the Christian religion. They do not also call Israel's Sharon a Jewish killer to blame all the Jews. Nobody identifies Irish terrorists as Christian terrorists.

Under the influence of the Jewish lobby, the Bush administration has waged a religious war against Islam whether it admits or not in straight forward way.

The American press controlled by Jews is also playing the same dangerous game of a religious war against Islam.

Nobody should forget that Muslims have strong presence beyond Muslim countries also. Such a dangerous anti- Islam game should not be taken lightly. All Muslim militants against injustice and oppression are not against Christan civilisation. It requires wild flights of fancy to believe that the Muslims have started religious war when no Muslim country has so declared. It is madness to say that Bin Laden is so well organised that he could have four or five American jets to attack America simultaneously.

The oppressed minority everywhere will rise as militants or freedom fighters. By giving Islam a bad name political crisis will not disappear.

We want to be wrong but we believe that as long as US's war against terrorism is directed as religious war against Islamists, the new Palestinian President. Mr. Abbas will not get Bush's wholehearted support for establishing the Palestinian state. Occupation of Iraq through lies about weapons of mass destruction and by ignoring international law is part of the same conspiracy against Muslims.

Muslim freedom fighters in Palestine and elsewhere are not freedom fighters, but must be regarded by the Western press as Muslim terrorists up against Western democracy and values. This cannot be the policy of helping Muslim countries to establish democracy.

Our earnest hope is that American people and others will understand the real danger of continuing a religious war against Muslims. Call them terrorists if they deserve to be called so. But don't call them Islamic terrorists. At the same time we should work against the Jewish lobby.

At first I thought that this might be some kind of satire site such as The Onion but the writer of the article seems to be sincere.
