Rally against illegal immigration
Home Depot are actually recruiting Spanish-speaking workers:
The Home Depot Inc., the nation's largest home improvement store chain, is launching a partnership with four national Hispanic organizations to recruit more Spanish-speaking employees _ a strategy that proponents say can help retailers find talented workers and boost sales at the same time.
Home Depot planned to launch the partnership formally on Tuesday in hopes it will find more job candidates, especially ones that speak both English and Spanish, for full-time and part-time positions.
In fact, Home Depot wants to make it easier for illegal immigrants to find work in the United States:
A real-life example from The Home Depot provides a good example. At a retail location in Southern California, the store and community were experiencing a problem with day laborers waiting for work in the store parking lot. With cars, contractors and customers coming and going in the same area, the situation was potentially dangerous to the day laborers and posed a turn-off for customers. The Home Depot recognized that this was a bigger issue than customer service, so it went to work with community leaders to create a long-term solution.
The Home Depot contacted Catholic Charities and other social service nonprofits, the local police department, and city leaders, asking them to work together to create a solution that each part of the community felt good about and that included getting services to people who needed work. As a result, the group worked together to plan a new day laborer center, to be operated by Catholic Charities in conjunction with several social service and employment agencies. The store donated land across the street for the center and helped provide start-up funding. The city helped put up fencing and spread leaflets to day laborers throughout the area. The company, nonprofit, and city worked together to create a win-win solution for everyone.
What can you do? Here is an email that I got from Joseph Turner of SaveOurState:
We are an anti-illegal immigration grassroots organization looking to punish Home Depot. We have a rather creative and innovative tactic that you will see below.
If you could help us in anyway with respect to getting the word out and getting this event posted on other blogs, I would be greatly appreciative.
The rally will be at the Rancho Cucamonga, CA store on March 12th, from 8AM - 11AM.
First, lets discuss the case against Home Depot.
1. They are openly supportive and play a proactive role in establishing day labor centers. And day laborers are overwhelmingly illegal aliens.
The following is a link to an article that has been copied (the original is in the archives of the publisher and off the web):
http://www.saveourstate.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=463&st=0entry2487
You will find the following quote:
[As it did in Burbank, Home Depot has in a "handful" of cases agreed to build a facility for day laborers, said John Simley, a spokesman for the company. But it always turned the operation of the facility over to the governing municipality.]
The following link further substantiates their support of day labor centers:
http://www.independentsector.org/mission_market/strength.htm
[The store [Home Depot] donated land across the street for the [day labor] center and helped provide start-up funding.]
And there are more examples I could cite, but I think that adquately proves the point that Home Depot aids and abets illegal aliens through the support of day labor centers.
Now, lets discuss its affiliation with these anti-American groups. Through his foundation, Arthur Blank, the co-founder of Home Depot and owner of the Atlanta Falcons, provides financial support to MALDEF. This organization is hell bent on subverting American laws on behalf of illegal alien invaders. (see Redondo Beach and other solicitation ordinances, PAN 200, etc.)
Home Depot recently announced a partnership with the National Council of La Raza. La Raza openly supports amnesty and open borders, drivers licenses for illegal aliens, etc. If you need documenation, just let me know. Home Depot also gives money directly to the National Council of La Raza, besides just partnering with them.
La Raza, as indicated by their 990 filing, also gives money to MEChA. MEChA openly speaks of the liberation of Aztlan (i.e. the reconquering of the Southwest). MEChA has a very militant belief system, has played a role in violent demonstrations and incredibly anti-American and racist (anti-white) rhetoric. If you need MEChA documenation, just let me know.
MEChA, MALDEF, La Raza, they all run in the same anti-American, open border circles.
2. Our idea is very simple and can be extremely effective if Americans who say they are fed up with illegal immigration, actually get off their asses and do something about it.
The objective is to shut down a Home Depot store using legal and peaceful means to do so. Activists will flood the parking lot with their cars and thus provide a deterrance for customers to shop since they wont want to deal with the crowd. Activists will then proceed to enter the store and purchase small items (e.g. a screw or a bolt for 8 cents each) several times. They will create long, time consuming lines prohibiting customers from making purchases of regular, higher priced items.
This activist presence will deter those who enter the store from shopping once they see the long lines. Those who stay to shop will be further exasperated by the lenghty checkout process when they see 20 people in front of them each attempting to purchase a screw with checks, credit cards, large bills or change. All of this is designed to hinder sales and profits for that time period.
Activists will also be encouraged to return their purchases for a refund to get their money back and to consume even more store resources.
Outside the store will be picketers informing passing motorists and potential shoppers about Home Depots transgressions.
3. Americans need to get off their butts and stop bitching about this problem. We are offering an opportunity for people to make a REAL and tangible difference. We can seriously hurt Home Depot with this strategy, especially if we can replicate it across Southern California and the nation. It is a peaceful and legal activity. It is non-confrontational and doesn't really cost any money. Simply put, if Americans can't go to a store and buy a couple of screws for less than a buck to fight the open borders lobby, then we might as well pack our bags and throw in the towel.
It will be lots of fun and something the entire family can do. Even 8 years olds can get involved. Make it a family affair. Teach your kids the importance of activism and taking an active involvement in your country.
Most importantly, this strategy inherently requires Americans to step up and get involved. We can not be truly successful unless Americans join with us and support our efforts.
So if you are in the Rancho Cucamonga, California area and you want to protest peacefully against Home Depot's support of illegal immigration you should go to the rally on March 12.
