BLACK men have the most lovers among British racial groups, research revealed yesterday.
They are also more likely to have a sexually transmitted infection.
Black Caribbean and African men reported bedding an average of nine women in a lifetime.
Whites have six lovers, Indian men have two and Pakistanis have one.
For women, whites have most lovers with an average of five — but were less likely to admit to STIs than black women, who have four partners.
The National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles quizzed more than 12,000 people.
A spokesman said: “We have a clearer understanding of the relationship between the sexual lifestyles of ethnic groups and the risk of STIs.”
