Danish local county councils are facing an increase in the amount of schools where ethnic Danes are in the minority

Miles Alexander:

A new survey by DR shows that the majority of citizens in Copenhagen would like to see the local authorities intervene and forcibly move pupils with other ethnic backgrounds than Danish, from schools were Danes are in the minority.

However, Copenhagen's mayor of schools does not agree, and he says that parents who live in a heavily immigrant concentrated community should be encouraged, not forced, to send their children to a school were the majority of students are Danish.

In the Alberslund's school district the council has already begun setting a maximum of 30 percent non ethnic Danes per class.
