President Bush's job-approval rating among African Americans has dropped to 2 percent

The drop among blacks drove Bush's overall job approval ratings to an all-time low of 39 percent in this poll. By comparison, 45 percent of whites and 36 percent of Hispanics approve of the job Bush is doing.
With only 2% of blacks and 36% of Hispanics approving of Bush's job performance it would seem that the GOP's focus on increasing its support amongst minority voters has been a complete waste of time and effort.

The GOP is so incredibly stupid when it comes to minority voters. Instead of explaining its core values--taking the message to them--they try to pander to blacks and hispanics, not realizing there is no way to out-pander the Dems. In other words, they try to hit a home run, when they should concentrate on singles. (This "chip away" strategy has raised the Jewish vote from less than 10% to 25% last election.)
But then again, like Thomas Sowell, I take no position on the subject of whether Republicans have some sense, a very controversial subject too painful to examine in detail.
