An arrest warrant is out for a Chicago man wanted for the rape of a woman and her 8-year-old daughter in Kenosha, Wisconsin
WBBM:
Kenosha police say 25-year-old Charles Williams was recently paroled from prison and was staying at a halfway house on Chicago's West Side. Through DNA and a wallet he dropped at the scene, police connected Williams to the attack on the 43-year-old woman and her 8-year-daughter in their Kenosha apartment over the weekend.
Lt. Ron Bartholomew said when police went to arrest Williams, he wasn't home. They're now circulating his photo to police throughout the area.
Lt. Bartholomew says after several hours of being attacked, the woman was able to grab a hammer and hit the rapist with it. Police believe Williams might have noticeable head and facial injuries. He's described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with braided black hair. He's wanted for sexual assault, armed robbery and other charges and is considered armed and dangerous.
Two face charges in separate assaults
