An Indian citizen who killed a Vancouver woman while street racing has won a reprieve from a deportation order
Globe and Mail:
Sukvir Singh Khosa was found guilty of criminal negligence in the death of Irene Thorpe in November, 2000, as he raced on a city street with Bahadur Singh Bhalru, who was also convicted and deported more than a year ago.
Both men were permanent residents, and eligible to apply for citizenship, but had not done so. The Federal Court of Appeal has granted Mr. Khosa a new hearing, according to CTV News, saying the original appeal-board decision was unreasonable.
