Black-on-black violence in Britain: 16-year-old boy stabbed to death by gang
Press Association:
A 16-year-old boy stabbed to death by a gang has been described as "friendly, gentle and peaceful" by his headteacher.
Paul O'Shea, principal of St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College in west London said Kodjo Yenga had an "excellent record" from a school in nearby Hammersmith and joined the college in 2005.
A post-mortem examination found that Kodjo, of Portland Road, west London, died from a single stab wound to the heart. Schoolchildren gathered and chanted "kill him" as the teenager was attacked in Hammersmith Grove on Wednesday afternoon, witnesses said.
Seven young males, all black and aged between 13 and 21, have been arrested over the murder.
