A man arrested in Virginia was returned to Jacksonville to face a charge of murder in a drive-by shooting

Lamont Asberry, 22, was transferred to the Duval County jail. Police said Asberry opened fire on a group of people outside a home on Jayson Avenue on Jan. 6, killing 36-year-old Pamela Shrowder.
According to investigators, Shrowder was with a group of friends on Jayson Avenue when someone yelled at a car to slow down.
The car came around again, spraying the crowd with bullets.
Shrowder, the mother of four, died at the scene.
Days after the shooting, Asberry was named as a person of interest in the case. The car used in the shooting was located at an Arlington apartment complex a few weeks later.
Asberry was arrested on Feb. 7 in Virginia.
Asberry is being held without bond.
