More than 50% of African-American male high school students fail to graduate with their class each year

In some urban jurisdictions such as New York and Chicago, upwards of two-thirds of them leave high school before graduation, according to a study by the Schott Foundation for Public Education.
In Maryland, 46 percent of black male teenagers dropped out during the 2003-04 school year, compared with 22 percent of white males. In Virginia, 47 percent dropped out, compared with 27 percent of white male students, and in the District, the dropout rate for black males was 51 percent, compared with 5 percent of white males, the report said.
Experts said the implications are stark: Dropouts struggle to find good jobs; they become teen fathers, get arrested and abuse drugs and alcohol at a much higher rate than that of their counterparts who graduate from high school.
Once again we see the effect of racial differences in IQ.

Obviously, it's a factor but it's worth stressing that these exams are really that much of a test, because black girls do significantly better than black boys. In the UK, black girls (I'm not sure if it's Africans alone or West Indians, as well) do better at GCSE level than white boys. I'm not sure whether they've tweaked the stats to get to that conclusion, but there are certainly swathes of poor whites in bad schools (and not just those shared with blacks) who have very poor exam results. Of course, white boys in good, especially private schools easily outperform the black female average. From which I conclude:
1)there are cultural problem amongst working class whites which mirrors that of blacks;
2)dysgenic breeding may lowering the average IQ of poor whites;
3)GCSEs have become woefully devalued.
Most stories like this aren't phrased such that it places the blame on the high school dropout or his low intelligence. If this one were, my reaction would be this:
If the lack of high school graduation is the source of all these social ills, just grant every black man a high school diploma upon his 17th or 18th birthday as if it were a civil right.
That way, crime, delinquency, diseases and substance abuse will disappear.
This is one hell of a depressing blog, but horrified fascination keeps bringing me back.
