A 19-year-old Hmong woman has been put on probation for 15 years for her part in the violent sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl

Winona County Attorney Chuck MacLean says Armeelia Vang's 36-month prison term was stayed in exchange for the probation. Vang was given credit for the year she already served.

A jury convicted Vang in February of being an accomplice in first-degree criminal sexual assault in the rape of the girl at a Winona apartment.

Vang is one of four people, including three males, who were charged in the November 2004 attack. The other three are awaiting trial.
