The uncle of a Kurdish woman whose body was found in a suitcase has appeared in court charged with her murder

Ari Mahmod Babakir Aga, 50, of Mitcham, south London, was remanded in custody by Woolwich magistrates on Monday.
His niece Banaz Mahmod Babakir Agha, 20, also from Mitcham, disappeared in January. Her remains were found in a suitcase in a garden in Birmingham.
Mohamad Marid Hama, 29, of South Norwood, south-east London, appeared in court in February charged with murder.
He was remanded in custody by Greenwich magistrates and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 12 May.
A total of 16 other people have been arrested and released on police bail in connection with the murder.
A post-mortem examination of the victim, who is of Kurdish origin, is being conducted at a Birmingham mortuary.
