University of Nevada, Las Vegas professor has invited race-based researchers to conference in Turkey

Associated Press:

An organization headed by a prominent U-N-L-V professor has invited four researchers with ties to hate groups to speak at a May conference in Turkey.

Austrian economist Hans-Hermann Hoppe has invited researchers to express viewpoints that some civil rights organizations call academic racism.

Hoppe made headlines in 2005 after he said in the classroom that homosexuals tend to plan less for the future because they don't have children.

One of the invited speakers is Richard Lynn, a professor at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland.

Lynn has published several papers and books on how different races of people are more intelligent than others.

Cynthia Luria is the Nevada regional director of the Anti-Defamation League.

She says inviting Lynn and the others who conduct race-based research to speak is unacceptable.
