Chicago police are searching for a man who recently assaulted a young woman in a gangway as she walked home from school

The incident happened at 2:15 p.m. March 23 around 61st Street and Monitor Avenue in the Chicago Lawn (8th) District.

The man was armed with a knife, authorities say.

He is described as Hispanic, 25 to 30 years old, about 5’10” and 150 pounds and having a medium olive complexion.

He had a mustache and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and black plastic sunglasses, authorities say.
