A woman has been accused of crashing a wedding reception and throwing acid at the guests

Police say Rihab Hagelkhider, 39, showed up uninvited to the party at the Friendship House on State Street in Schenectady. Hagelkhider allegedly threw an acidic substance at Hayfa Hussein, 29, who suffered burns to her face and body.

The substance splashed on two other women, and some got on Hagelkhider as well. Two firefighters who treated the victims at the scene received burns when the acid melted their latex gloves.

A witness told police that this attack had something to do with Hagelkhider's arrest on Thursday for allegedly smashing a windshield.

Hagelkhider was charged with counts of assault and reckless endangerment. She was arraigned and remanded to Schenectady County Jail.

All the victims were treated and released.
