Shootings leave two teens dead in San Francisco

CBS5:

A 17-year-old youth was shot to death in San Francisco's Bayview district Sunday night, according to San Francisco police Officer Maria Oropeza.

Earlier in the day, a 19-year-old man was fatally shot in the head in the area of Lisbon Street and Persia Avenue.

The second death occurred at West Point Road and Middlepoint Road around 7:15 p.m.

The victim, a black male, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, Oropeza said.

The first shooting victim was talking to four or five other men in a vehicle before the incident.

The suspect in the shooting, who police believe is a Hispanic male between 25 and 35 years of age, got out of the vehicle and continued talking to the victim.

The victim then walked away, and the suspect shot him.

The group of males took off in the vehicle, Oropeza said.

The victim was brought to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
